Here are the proud parents of the Gila monsters born here at Goastby’s Place. All adults are from different bloodlines and offspring will denote which dams and sires produced them with captive birth certificates provided.
Winston The O.G. (Original Gila, of course!)

Winston has been with me since 1998 when I purchased him captive born as a yearling from a private breeder in North Carolina. We have been through a lot together, long nights, hard days, moves, marriage, children – Winston has been with me through it all. He has gotten used to me over the years and has a very calm temperament. Don’t know if the chill attitude is passed down genetically, but he is a great reticulated Gila with reduced orange pattern and dark black background.
Heather

Heather came into my collection in 2018 and is a beautiful captive born female reticulated Gila monster purchased as an adult born in 2012. She is pretty girl, and her and Winston hit it off real well so we put these two together to make gorgeous retics with reduced banding.
Belle

Belle is a banded female with lots of spunk. High in pink with beautiful bands, she doesn’t take crap from any man. Her offspring tend toward light pink colorization with clean banding.
Thunder

Thunder is a stunning beast of a banded Gila that you would hate to meet in a dark alley. His reduced pattern with salmon pink coloring makes for some beautiful Gilas!
LUCY

Lucy is a female banded Gila with a funky pattern that I just love! She has a nice light pink coloration, we are very excited to see what she produces over the years!
Punkin’

Originally purchased as a sexed female (which my girls named Pumpkin due to his high orange colors), but our ultrasound showed otherwise. He is the largest of the males and all our Gilas in general, coming in at almost 1200 grams!
Winifred

Genetically, Winifred is a true axanthic Gila monster but I prefer monochrome after my love of black and white photography. Born in 2015 from Dr. Mark Seward’s axanthic genetic line, “Winnie” is a smaller female Gila with a lot of personality. We look forward to working with this genetic line and will pair Winnie with specific males to make amazing Gilas with interesting patterns.
